February and March were very busy for our team as we interviewed with SpaceX and The Boring Company about our design. The interviews presented an opportunity for our sub-teams to explain the design rationale and answer important safety questions. This experience was significantly helpful for practicing our presentation skills and receiving feedback from engineers at those companies.

The Cooper Hyperloop team is now one of the semi-finalists to advance in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition for 2019! 

In this phase we are competing next to 51 national and international schools with our final design of the pod. The new submission deadline represents a great opportunity for our team to elaborate on each of the sub-systems. In the coming weeks we will be detailing our work and conduct testing.

October was a highly productive month for our team as we submitted to SpaceX the Preliminary Design Report. This report consists of designs of each subsystem, along with an explanation of design rationales, and testing & validation plans.

Seven months have flown by since the inception of the Cooper Hyperloop in January. As the summer is about to come to an end, we are happy to have finished the brake's test frame, to have received the first round of donations, and have attended this year's competition in July 22nd.
